More cities jump on the climate bandwagon, banning ads for meat, gas-fueled cars, airline tickets and other products deemed 'bad' for environment

The city councils of two Dutch cities, Bloemendaal and Utrecht, have voted to ban the advertising in public spaces of gasoline-powered cars, airline tickets, meat and dairy products.

These two woke cities join the Dutch city of Haarlem, whose council voted last year to take the same bizarre action, which takes effect in 2024.

Yes, it’s a violation of free speech. But it’s more than that.

Pay attention to this and don’t think it can’t or won’t happen in the U.S., Canada and other nations of the formerly free world. What happens in self-destructing Western Europe typically always makes its way to America, first to California usually, and then to other blue states and eventually to red states as well.

Citing a number of Dutch outlets, Vegconomist reports that “the Municipality of Bloemendaal, a majority formed by the coalition parties D66, VVD, and PvdA recently agreed to prohibit meat and dairy advertisements on billboards, posters, and other advertising spots managed by the municipality.”
