Whether one agrees or disagrees that the U.S. should be playing the role of a hegemonic power that holds a gun to the head of all other nations, stealing their wealth and enriching its global corporations, it's hard to make the argument that this is not what's going on. The neocons would argue that there is nothing wrong with this and that it is America's rightful role in the world because we are somehow morally superior to the other nations and have a sort of divine right to dictate how they are internally governed.
It is my personal opinion that the neocons are engaged in a fool's game based on greed, lawlessness, raw power and the pride of man. Their strategy of using American power to its fullest, just because they can, is not grounded in Godly principles and therefore will not end well for America even if it looks in the short term like we are racking up "wins" and the other countries are pitiful losers.

My thought process on the election interference rationale is that it does not hold water. Namely, because we done literally nothing in the US to insure fraudulent-free elections. I believe that taking Maduro to a trial in New York - especially - is both very risky and far different than those accusing PDJT of their list of evils (like Leo has done here). I just listened to a session with Trump answering questions from reporters re Venezuela. I think before anyone makes a call to judgement they should watch this too. I did not know about 20 years ago we built refineries there which this maduro took over and was never held accountable. The refineries are unkept and old and archaic that only 7% I thought I heard was produced there. They did not give us what they owed us so the US took it back basically. There’s much more to this so anyone really interested needs to investigate before they form an opinion and be divisive with it. You make some good points Leo. But what about those who point out that Iran has Hezbolla soldiers in Venezuela and has been receiving secret flights from Iran for years. Brannon Howse has talked about that quite a bit. (I can't wait until Brannon is back on the air on Monday to discuss all that has been happening these last two weeks!). Anni Cyrus has reported on nuclear bomb parts being assembled there as well. Also, China is there. Maduro had just met with leaders from China at his palace hours before the US attack. We don't want those enemies in our hemesphere. But, like you said, Maduro was kidnapped by our military! And why can't our DOJ arrest and prosecute all of the democrats that perpetrated the stolen election 2020, J6, Covid, Russia Gate, Mar-A-Lago raid, etc? Zero arrests domestically. And we need to build up and fix OUR country, not other countries!! What a mess!
Dawn, I particularly like your post. Leo is right except where he is wrong. I believe that taking Maduro to a trial in New York - especially - is both very risky and far different than those accusing PDJT of their list of evils (like Leo has done here). Isn't it POSSIBLE that Mr. Maduro will HAVE TO ANSWER for what has occurred, particularly if evidence is strong (as I believe it will be). Can that be progress for the western hemisphere - I want to believe so.
Last point is that PDJT has more power and influence than ever in his very blessed life. I for one am very interested in SEEING WHAT HAPPENS NOW, and pleased that SOMETHING is being done - for a change! What a difference one election can make ! A big part of taking control of Venezuela has to do with the growing presence of China, (and Iran!), predominately, throughout the Caribbean. Once they have demonstrable military and commercial establishments in that region we'll have Cuba times 100 and therefore probably Russia temporarily, as well. Venezuela would (will) gladly welcome any country (even usa) that can help get them back in track.
Also, it was not just Maduro and his illegal heavy hand we needed to stop, but all the drugs being sent HERE by the boat loads. If we let this communist cancer continue to grow it is assured America will be destroyed. Absolutely assured.

I must say, tho, that i think even Trump will be bigly dismayed upon discovering how difficult "fixing" Venezuela is apt to be. Other's were once called in to help teach critical things for the betterment of all (Scotland Yard, several oil companies from Australia, Canada, USA, and others in oil, Rockefeller's agricultural aids, and others who spent time and treasure who responded to the dire needs. Scotland Yard reportedly became exasperated with lack of progress and left, oil companies were essentially thrown out as the industry was "nationalized", and I don't believe the agricultural endeavors produced any real results either. So i think their current state of economy and the long history of poverty and political chaos added to a now decaying infrastructure (which has never ever been up to modern standards) is going to be far more onerous than believed.

Although I understand the sentiments expressed here I am disappointed that the author fails to recognize the de facto state of war which preceeded the current military action in VNZLA. Mind altering illegal drugs of all types are weapons of mass destruction and accomplish the strategic objectives of destabilization and demoralization. Neighborhoods are demoralized as gang turf wars kill the innocent (children and adults) in the crossfire. The apparatus of law and order is destabilized as more and more resources are necessarily dedicated to combat the drug fueled insanity visible on our streets. This draws down resources available to answer other 911 emergencies as well as crimes involving deep investigations and fugitive arrests. Yes, nation building sucks and fails everywhere. No, seizing an absolutely corrupt, illegitimate leader parked 2K miles from our border who actively emptied his prisons and sent those reprobates here in the Biden open border era is not nation building, it is the arm of justice snatching the devil's right hand man out of his comfort zone so he can be hung properly.

I just listened to a session with Trump answering questions from reporters re Venezuela. I think before anyone makes a call to judgement they should watch this too. I did not know about 20 years ago we built refineries there which this maduro took over and was never held accountable. The refineries are unkept and old and archaic that only 7% I thought I heard was produced there. They did not give us what they owed us so the US took it back basically. There’s much more to this so anyone really interested needs to investigate before they form an opinion and be divisive with it. Who knows the end result of all this with the exception of the Venezuelan people who will get their country back and their economy moving again. So do your due diligence and listen to the interview.
