The United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution on Monday in support of President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan in Gaza, and Trump has been named Chairman of the Board of Peace.

Former British PM Tony Blair is also serving on the Board of Peace, which has been granted sole rights to oversee the redevelopment and transformation of the Gaza strip. Israel’s government, mind you, is in complete agreement with this set up. But what, exactly, does it mean?

The resolution was adopted by the UN Security Council by a unanimous 13-0 vote, with two abstentions. It solidifies the power and cachet of the UN behind the Trump peace plan, which Israel and Hamas agreed to in early October.
