Yes. In Rev. 14; 9-11 it says that anyone who takes the mark is already a gonner. There is no turning back from it. I never said I don't own a computer. My husband has a desktop at home. I don't care if they know where I live, as they can find that out through normal means, but "Smart" technology listens to your conversations & tracks your whereabouts. You can remove the ability for your desktop to do so (remove cameras and microphones). Talk about something you usually wouldn't, like say, point of sale systems, in front of your smartphone and you'll have 20 ads on it within 10 minutes. That's creepy stalker behavior if a person does it, but we're to accept it from a government or corporation? No, thank you. Amazon and Google have both been popped for listening to private conversations and Roomba got busted for taking pictures of the homeowner on the toilet which "magically" ended up on the net. Don't be apathetic about this, because our government gets hacked by hostile nations constantly. Anything our government knows about you, the Chinese, Iranians and anyone else *can* know about you. What secrets do you talk about in your own home? Is it something you want government agents to know, because they probably do and that should make you nervous if they ever decide they want something from you.

My son builds our computers from the best parts we can source. What you need to consider is for what do you want to use it? If you just want to use it for email, games and internet access, it's not the computer you choose as much as the graphics card and search engine you choose. Games require a good graphics card and you obviously don't want to use Google or similar search engines if you want privacy. DuckDuckGo won't track you and you should always turn off the cookies for any site you visit. If you're putting an office suite on it and want to avoid Microsoft and Apple, research office suites online with an eye toward privacy protection. All kinds of companies are out there who exist just to keep prying eyes out of your business. A VPN will also help with online anonymity. Also, look into a company called DeleteMe or similar. For a low cost, they keep your private information off the dark web and spam lists. I hope that helps.

I'm unsure as to your situation or need, but I also pay $35 a year for encrypted email service. My husband does patent work and I do a lot of proofreading of trademark work, so we find it useful. It's also nice to know if I'm ever hacked, the hackers couldn't see the plans, private emails or writings we have to sign DNRs to work on. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Good luck!

Yes, challenging time it was then for sure but choosing to attempt to murder a person (although an utterly evil one) is what lead to Bonhoeffer being executed. I do truly believe that God wants us to defend our families, ourselves, and our country. But killing should be a last resort, avoided at all costs. But as a Pastor, don't think that it was God's will for him to try to set a bomb off at that meeting where Hitler was present, but maybe we would've never gotten this in depth history of the horror of that time period in the books written about Bonhoffer. We are also minimalists (for the most part) and yes, when they came around, we urged the manager not to permit the Smart Meter installation here (GREAT SUGGESTION!). We're also vegan, gluten-free, preservative-free (but of course we walk daily so we breathe the geoengineered air form all the (constant here) chem trailing (I think they use the PNW and Whidbey where we live in particular to then take advantage of the airstreams/currents to send the noxious stuff to other designated zones). WE are debt-free and are urging others to do the same (retired financial services person for 43 years). To remind everyone of some basics: In Revelation 1:1. "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which YHVH/God gave Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place", is the Book in the Bible where the "mark-of-the-beast" is revealed, (Revelation 13:16-17). The Book of Revelation is the Father's Plan for the Return of Jesus Christ as King of kings. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is immutable, therefore the 'mark-of-the-beast" is inevitable; and the Revelation is a "heads-up" for the servants of Jesus Christ on what the Lord expects of His servants during the soon coming Great Tribulation.
Accordingly, sometimes in my studying when I reflect upon the words of Jesus when He said In Matthew 5:30, “And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.” Needless to say, most Biblical scholars interpret this as a "metaphorical" call to remove oneself from situations or influences that lead to sin.
However, what if it isn't metaphorical? Yes. In Rev. 14; 9-11 it says that anyone who takes the mark is already a gonner. There is no turning back from it. I don't care if they know where I live, as they can find that out through normal means, but "Smart" technology listens to your conversations & tracks your whereabouts. You can remove the ability for your desktop to do so (remove cameras and microphones). Talk about something you usually wouldn't, like say, point of sale systems, in front of your smartphone and you'll have 20 ads on it within 10 minutes. That's creepy stalker behavior if a person does it, but we're to accept it from a government or corporation? No, thank you. Amazon and Google have both been popped for listening to private conversations and Roomba got busted for taking pictures of the homeowner on the toilet which "magically" ended up on the net. Don't be apathetic about this, because our government gets hacked by hostile nations constantly. Anything our government knows about you, the Chinese, Iranians and anyone else *can* know about you. What secrets do you talk about in your own home? Is it something you want government agents to know, because they probably do and that should make you nervous if they ever decide they want something from you.

My son builds our computers from the best parts we can source. What you need to consider is for what do you want to use it? If you just want to use it for email, games and internet access, it's not the computer you choose as much as the graphics card and search engine you choose. Games require a good graphics card and you obviously don't want to use Google or similar search engines if you want privacy. DuckDuckGo won't track you and you should always turn off the cookies for any site you visit. If you're putting an office suite on it and want to avoid Microsoft and Apple, research office suites online with an eye toward privacy protection. All kinds of companies are out there who exist just to keep prying eyes out of your business. A VPN will also help with online anonymity. Also, look into a company called DeleteMe or similar. For a low cost, they keep your private information off the dark web and spam lists. I hope that helps.

Thank you. I'm not a computer expert by any means, but these are things my son has suggested and I've implemented myself. I'm unsure as to your situation or need, but I also pay $35 a year for encrypted email service. My husband does patent work and I do a lot of proofreading of trademark work, so we find it useful. It's also nice to know if I'm ever hacked, the hackers couldn't see the plans, private emails or writings we have to sign DNRs to work on. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Good luck!
