I used to dislike that phrase, “the good old days.”

Now that I’m older I understand why my parents and grandparents used it.

Now I am going to use it.

I miss the “good old days” before computers. What a wonderful time in history it was !!!

I suspect that will take on a lot more gravity as AI becomes the commander of this mess.

I maintain, the only "good" AI is Amish Intelligence.

Excellent !!!

I am going to remember that one and give you credit every time I use it.

The best and most accurate description of AI I have ever heard.

Well done !!!

Thanks for the timely and informative write, Sir. And, the kind words.

Now, if I could only generate some interest in the simple term "crimigrant" as a description.

Surprised that one hasn’t caught on as we have had a lot of crimigrants popping up everywhere as of late.

I used to be a 70's '80's mall rat then I slowed down in the '90's. People met at the food court after shopping, interacted more. The music stores were where we went and sampled vinyl records then later CD's. Stores were bustling with activity. Not anymore. Computer activities are fun for retirees, old vintage movies many free on Tubi also doing a search by title. Researching health issues and fitness videos, etc.

I was one of those mall rats back in the early seventies. Guys would meet up at Aladins Castle for a few games of pinball before roaming around the mall to see, and hopefully talk to, all of the pretty girls.

Boy oh boy those were the good old days.

I do agree with you that computers can be fun and helpful. Easier than going to the library etc.

Good points made !!!

Watched some good westerns from the '80's recently on Tubi. Also drama from various older decades, ww2 actors. Reruns from the '60's better acting then than now.

Wearables are NOT necessary.

Really...Sensors are inundating our environment and they're 'QUANTUM SIZED' which means they saturate all life on Earth. Skin, Cell Membranes or Walls for plants and such are as a chain link fence for mosquitos. The injections wrongfully termed 'vaccines' were to place internal infrastructure within your body which is self replicating and self assembling to interact with the technology better than biology alone.

Sabrina Wallace is a professional 'Internet Architect' and brought all from 'Dial-Up' to Digital when only 17 years old. She knows her field well and is a whistleblower. You may find her within 'Psinergy' or 'Nonvaxxer' in Rumble. This terminology is rather difficult at first until you research a bit yourself. IT'S ALL REAL and found in Wikipedia in 'Emerging Technologies' which have already been active for decades now. WE JUST DIDN'T KNOW. These links are the most recent in the last few days. She's been online now for about 4 years trying to warn people.

Sabrina Wallace is not a whistle-blower, but she does know her field very well. I just wish more journalist would read as much as she has (whitepapers) and write about it. I understand this technology is difficult to understand if you aren't a tech, but for heaven's sake we should be able to read and understand, they have been "under our skin" for 30 years!

Too many Christians are insufficiently wary of technological innovations. It’s very disturbing that in order to gain tax advantages, churches submit to becoming 501c3 corporations responsible to the state. They adopt intrusive secular methods of child protection instead of depending upon God and exercising church discipline. Church members are as dependent upon their phones, and as quick to upgrade them, as are unbelievers. They leave their phones out where everything they and others say can be recorded. Many of them probably already use wearables.

From my observations, there seems to be next to no awareness among Christians of how they are becoming more and more entangled with the world. They even copy worldly musical forms to create CCM and think it’s fine because the words are (sort of) about Jesus.

I couldn’t agree with you more.

The Bible itself warns us of the dangers of this fallen world.

One would think that Christians would be the best watchmen on the wall. But unfortunately even the Church has been infiltrated by false teachers and doctrines to the point that even the Gospel itself has been watered down.

Amazing to me even most pastors don’t understand or see the parallels.

We truly are in the last days !!!

Most all churches today are social centers with hollowed out preaching and very little is learned. Many seminaries today prepare men to be CEO's of their church above all else. I church online, Bible study in a nearby state online also get solid preaching (reformed preaching and teaching).

Kay's avatar

My church is not like that. The leadership dealt with a deeply entrenched narcissist who then left voluntarily—church discipline in action. Unfortunately, more and more churches are going the seeker sensitive route, which is a recipe for watering down the gospel.

But we are still called to not forsake assembling ourselves together, and online services are no substitute for face to face contact. I understand that many Christians who cannot find a faithful church are forming home churches—returning to our beginnings.

I can guarantee you that there is never going to be tech that 'reads your mind'. At best they can monitor stress, blood pressure and all the rest. But these claims betray a massive failure of understanding regards what consciousness is. And its fear mongering on their part and I do wonder what the motive is to make such claims.
